Kafka
I love book covers and I do judge a book by its cover (no matter what my second grade librarian said). I have never been a big fan of Kafka (or creepy bugs for that matter), but thoroughly enjoy this book cover.
Cover found on one of my new favorite sites The Book Design Review.

Not that you care...
But I forgot with my craziness of school work and family about updating "What I am currently reading". So if you care I just read Diary by Chuck Palanhniuk (by the way I just had to look up how to spell his name way too many times). It is rather interesting, you have to have patience with his books though because you never find out what is really going on until the end, but there was a really interesting concept with this book.
Now I am finally reading The Bell Jar. It has been on my list for a while.

Schtock
I just discovered Schtock.com. It is brilliant, some of you may of already heard of it though, and thus already know this. The anonymous creator of this site takes stock images and creates new works out of them. Who knew stock images could look so good?

Sorry Sorry
I am sorry I have been so MIA. My family has been in town, and I have been rather busy. Here is
my apology via Rooney. (And I just realized this is my second post about Rooney on this blog) I am going to make it up to all this week by posting daily (if possible).

The revolution has begun
I saw Tale of Two Cities, the new musical, twice last week, and love it both times. It is absolutely amazing. If you are in New York I definitely recommend seeing it, you won't regret it. The staging, the cast, and the music is all wonderful. You can see the commercial below, and find out more on their website.

Onomanopoeia
These plates are the inspiration for a new project I am doing about sound pollution. I love the new Batmans, but I also love the imagery of the old school Batman with Adam West.
My brother is a big Batman guy, and when he was little he used to play Batman and Robin with his best friend. He would always be Robin though. You might think it odd that a kid would concede to being Robin, but he made a deal with his friend if the friend got to be Batman my brother got to decide everything they did. What a clever little kid.

Smart People
I watched Smart People last night, and enjoyed it. I had wanted to see it since it came out, so I guess it shouldn't surprise me that I enjoyed it, but I haven't really liked any SJP role since Sex and the City, but I liked her in this. So if you haven't seen it, I recommend it.
And speaking of SJP. I had one of the best celebrity sightings of my life. Normally I don't get too excited, but the other day I was leaving school and I saw MATTHEW BRODERICK. I wanted to run up and hug him so badly, but resisted the temptation. I had just watched Ferris Bueller the night before and was thinking how lucky SJP is. Oh my god, I love Matthew Broderick.

Oh also, the picture above of Rory's friend, Krysten Ritter, is from an issue of the deceased Jane Magazine. Which I miss thoroughly. I love love Jane, and wish it was still in print.
Isn't the picture just adorable?

Lost There, Felt Here
I just saw this great t-shirt to raise awareness of global deforestation. Each shirt has a hole cut out of it show how forest lost there affects us here. It is part of the campaign, "Lost There, Felt Here". The identity was done by the design firm Trademark™
I think this is a really great campaign about a really serious issue, but I also don't think I could help myself from poking someone through that little hole who was wearing the shirt.

Finally lost it's sail
Thanks.
Oh and can we just talk for a minute about how the adorable Blake Sennett is Joey the Rat from Boy Meets World? You know that little scrawnie bully who spent all his time with the big guy Frankie? Yep its him.
