Strange Maps

One of my best friends loves maps. He is kind of a nerd about them, but that is one of the things that makes him great. So when on Even Cleveland I saw posts about maps I was intrigued, and even more so when I saw a link to an amazing blog called Strange Maps. It is exactly as the title says, a blog of strange maps. The above is an image from the blog.

Kees Van Dongen

I saw this in the side bar on the NYTimes The Moment Blog and was instantly drawn to it. It took me a little bit to find the blog post, but I am so happy I did. I had never heard of this wonderful artist before, and I love his work.

I discovered the beautiful paper work done by Essimar over on Design Milk. I particularly enjoy this rabbit.

The Obamas Meet the Queen

Always keep your house tidy in case the queen decides to stop by for a spot of tea!

Presidential Doodles

Barack Obama

Rutherford B Hayes

Richard Nixon

JFK

Benjamin Harrison

Warren G Harding

I was at a party Saturday night talking about the usual things, Aaron Carter and presidential facts. A kid at the party informed me about presidential doodles. He told me if you google presidential doodles you can find a whole slew of doodles presidents have done. AMAZING is what I have to say to that. Through my googling I found a whole book of presidential doodles, called oddly enough Presidential Doodles.
