An American in Paris

So I was watching "An American in Paris" the other day, and what struck me about it is how brilliant the set design was. The colors, the shapes, the way they work in the dance sequences. Truly amazing. I really loved the scene where Gene Kelley is dancing in front of a wall of french (now vintage) advertisements. They make such a beautiful background.

I found these amazing posters at Lefor-Openo.

Lost There, Felt Here

I just saw this great t-shirt to raise awareness of global deforestation. Each shirt has a hole cut out of it show how forest lost there affects us here. It is part of the campaign, "Lost There, Felt Here". The identity was done by the design firm Trademark™

I think this is a really great campaign about a really serious issue, but I also don't think I could help myself from poking someone through that little hole who was wearing the shirt.

SALE! SALE! SALE!

I am having a sale at my shop! Check it out here!

Teen Girl Squad

Do you guys remember Teen Girl Squad from Homestar Runner? When I was in high school it was pretty ballin. I just watched a couple episodes again, and it is still pretty amusing. I mean how can someone being attacked by MSG not be good?

SOOOOO GOOD

Finally lost it's sail

I love Rilo Kiley, and I just remembered how much I love the song "Ripchord". It just has that...quality. You know what I am talking about? If you do leave me a comment so I know what I am talking about.

Thanks.

Oh and can we just talk for a minute about how the adorable Blake Sennett is Joey the Rat from Boy Meets World? You know that little scrawnie bully who spent all his time with the big guy Frankie? Yep its him.

Hello September!

Happy First of September!

I am really digging the "Burn After Reading" posters. Very Saul Bass.
